The Plan Reviewer is responsible for conducting technical analysis of development projects, ensuring compliance with building and zoning codes, and evaluating site-specific considerations that may impact project feasibility and development potential. This role encompasses projects in Los Angeles as well as other jurisdictions with varying levels of available resources.

**4\. Required Skills and Qualifications**
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field
Strong knowledge of building codes and zoning regulations across multiple jurisdictions
Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings
Familiarity with various GIS software, planning resources, and research methods
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Adaptability to different regulatory environments and research methodologies
**5\. Continuous Improvement**
The Plan and Site Engineer should:
Stay updated on changes to building codes and zoning regulations in multiple jurisdictions
Attend relevant professional development courses and workshops
Contribute to the improvement of internal processes and procedures
Share knowledge and best practices with team members
Develop and maintain a database of contacts and resources for frequently encountered jurisdictions
Regularly update knowledge of state and federal regulations that may supersede or complement local zoning codes
Cultivate relationships with local planners, architects, and developers for insights into local development practices
