Shift Time: 8:00 AM – 3:57 PM
Position Type: Full-time, Contract (43 weeks)
Job Description:We are seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join a school-based therapy team for the upcoming academic year. This is an in-person role focused on supporting students in achieving their educational and developmental goals through occupational therapy interventions.
The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist and collaborate with educators, parents, and other school staff to implement individualized therapy plans.
Responsibilities:Provide direct occupational therapy services to students as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
Assist in developing and implementing individualized education program (IEP) goals.
Support students in improving fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom participation.
Document progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to IEP meetings when required.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to foster an inclusive learning environment.
Active California Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) license.
Previous experience working with children in educational or pediatric settings preferred.
Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
Must be available for onsite fingerprinting and orientation prior to start date.
Willingness to arrive at least one week prior to start date for compliance clearance.
