We are looking for a Instrument Technician to join our Coatings (EC) team in Greenville, OH.

BASF’s Coatings division is a global expert in the development, production and marketing of innovative and sustainable automotive OEM and refinish coatings, decorative paints as well as applied surface treatments for metal, plastic and glass substrates in a wide range of industries. This portfolio is supplemented by "Beyond Paint Solutions", which enable new applications with innovative surfaces.

As a member of the maintenance team at Greenville, OH, you will perform daily responsibilities that include troubleshooting and repair of motors, instrumentation, electrical panels, and automation systems as well as the installation of new conduit, wiring, and electrical equipment. You will execute preventative and predictive maintenance to improve plant performance and reliability and ensure that all shifts are able to execute the operating plan daily, as intended.

During your shift as a Instrument Technician (Greenville, OH), you will...

• Diagnose troubleshoot, plan and perform electrical tasks to modify, dismantle, and repair equipment typically found in the chemical industry including pumps, mills, piping systems, and instrumentation. 
• Overhaul and rebuild valves, instrumentation, and other process equipment.
• Perform predictive and preventative maintenance such as inspections and calibrations.
• Perform work in the electrical skill area such as running conduit, pulling wire, installing instrumentation, and other electrical devices.
• Assist in the installation and startup of new equipment.

If you...

• Have a HS Diploma or GED with 5 years of Industrial Maintenance experience OR have a 2 year Associate degree from a technical school and 3 years of experience in an Industrial Maintenance position as well as SAP experience.
• Are willing to learn and continue your education through our maintenance career ladder.
• Are familiar with Electrical Rotating Equipment and Instrumentation.
• Have experience operating forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts as well as being able to lift up to 50 lbs, carrying up to 25 lbs.
