At Burrito Shak, we’re all about GREAT food and GREAT customer service while we serve up bold flavors and fresh ingredients in a laid-back, beachy atmosphere. We're a fast-casual, lunch/dinner-based restaurant serving a Baja-Style menu including Burritos, Tacos, Quesadillas, Nachos and Salads, all made fresh daily in-house by our team members.
As a Prep Cook, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our operation runs smoothly and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing fresh ingredients, following simple recipes and prepping food to ensure consistent products are delivered to our customers.
- Weighing and measuring ingredients, chopping, preparing and cooking basic items for service.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
-Labeling, stocking and handling inventory.
- Assisting the kitchen team with various tasks to keep things running seamlessly.
- Adhering to food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
- At least 1 year of experience in a kitchen or food prep role.
-Basic knife skills.
- A passion for food and attention to detail.
- Strong time management and multitasking skills.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work well in a team and toward one goal.
- A commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
-Ability to communicate and work alongside management.
-General knowledge of prep for a fast-paced kitchen.
