Job Description

NS2 Mission is seeking a highly motivated and self-directed professional to join our team as a Front-End Software Developer to support our team in Herndon, VA. This role will support the re-architecture of a large, mission-critical access control system currently built in Grails. The ideal candidate will leverage cloud infrastructure and services to modernize the front-end experience while possessing a solid understanding of both client-side and server-side web frameworks.

In this position, you will collaborate with the existing development team to maintain current capabilities, work alongside mission partners to design new features, and develop a new interface for the system. We are particularly looking for candidates with a background in front-end development using Angular. A full-stack development background is a plus and highly desired.

Required Qualifications:

• 8-12 years of experience along with a Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or additional specialized experience in a scientific or technical discipline within Computer or Information Technology (equivalent to two additional years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree; six years of experience in lieu of a college degree).
• Experience in building web-based applications utilizing UI frameworks such as Angular, React, etc.
• Proven experience working in a cloud environment.
• Familiarity with continuous integration and delivery tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Puppet, Nexus, etc.).
• Excellent debugging and optimization skills.
• Experience in unit and integration testing.

Desired Qualifications:

• Ability to adapt quickly to evolving technologies to support the dynamic landscape of Full Stack Development.
• Experience with Java and/or Python.
• Background in working within an Agile team environment.
• Strong communication skills.

Position Clearance Requirement:

TS/SCI with FSP
