Gumastadhara Certificate
On January 11, 1949, the Gujarat Shops and Establishment Act 1948—previously known as the Bombay Shops and Establishment Act 1948—went into force, according to the Mr. Shantilal Shah Committee’s report. As stated in the Preamble of the bare text, the primary goal of the Act is to amend and consolidate the laws pertaining to the regulation of employment and working conditions in stores, commercial establishments, residential hotels, restaurants, dining establishments, theaters, and other public amusement or entertainment venues.
GENERAL INFORMATION REQUIRED FOR Gumastadhara License
- Name of Shop.
- Name of Employer/owner of Shop.
- Business kind, such as stationery, tea and coffee shops, pans, etc.
- Shop Address: The shop's address for correspondence.
- Address of Shop Owner/Employer: home address for correspondence.
- Municipal Serve Number
- extra information needed in accordance with the Shopex Act or Shop and Establishment Act.

- Office Rent Agreement/Index Copy
- Office Tax Bill
- Office Electricity Bill
- Pan card of firm
- PAN Card and Election/DL for the Proprietor, Partner, or Director
- 4 Passport size photographs of Proprietor/Partner/ Director
